Carter R. Montgomery - President and CEO
Mr. Montgomery formed GreenPoint Renewables LLC as a sustainable resources company focused on utilizing Hydrogen to lead in the production of transitional energy. He brings over four decades of oil & gas experience in drilling, processing, pipeline and corporate development. He founded a $600M pipeline company and has formed several oil and gas exploration and renewable development companies over his career. In addition, Carter has worked as an independent Oil and Gas Operator for more than 30 years. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of The Peregrine Fund, a non-profit organization that protects threatened and endangered birds worldwide.

Mr. Montgomery’s career can be characterized as one of identifying the right opportunity, recruiting and managing the right team, and executing the right plan for all stakeholders. At every stage Mr. Montgomery focuses on the customer, the environment and the stakeholders to maximize positive impact. In keeping with that philosophy, Mr. Montgomery formed GreenPoint Renewables LLC focused on decarbonizing current and future energy vectors.

A History of Innovation and Development
In 2018, Mr. Montgomery Formed Avalon Energy LLC
to acquire and manage certain assets from SandRidge Energy, Inc. The team was able to boost production and profits by optimizing legacy assets.
From 2004 to 2017, Mr. Montgomery was focused on oil & gas production as an owner, operator and asset acquirer in the United States Oil and Gas Sector. By building and recruiting the right team, Mr. Montgomery was able to boost production 4x in Kansas under Clipper Energy (from 232 barrels per day to 1,000 barrels per day) at the time of exit.
Proven Process for Large Projects
Mr. Montgomery Founded The $600 Million Longhorn Pipeline in 1988
a 756-mile pipeline designed to transport 225,000 barrels per day of refined products from the Gulf Coast to the Southwest. Carter recruited the management team and organized the partnership of Chisum Holdings, The Beacon Energy Fund, Williams Companies, Exxon Pipeline and Amoco Pipeline. He managed the project and assets from 1988 until its eventual sale in 2004.

Prior to 1988, Mr. Montgomery Was an Independent Oil & Gas Operator
active in Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas and Wyoming. From 1979 to 1987, Mr. Montgomery developed significant deep gas and wildcat prospects while forging relationships with all the major oil companies. Along with partner Vaughn Petroleum Inc., Mr. Montgomery was the first independent to conceive of and execute a wildcat well on the north slope of Alaska.
