Carbon capture plays an integral part of GreenPoint Renewables LLC’s ultra-low carbon blue hydrogen product offering. We partner with leading carbon capture companies to permanently sequester CO2 generated from the production of our ultra-clean blue hydrogen. Our hydrogen plants are designed to capture 99%+ of CO2 – a key differentiator. Our CO2 generated is directed to adjacent Class VI wells or nearby CO2 pipelines for permanent geologic sequestration or use in enhanced oil recovery. Our blue hydrogen plants maximize climate benefits while minimizing customer costs and CO2 emissions for the benefit of all our stakeholders (our planet, our communities, our customers and our investors).
What is Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)?
Carbon capture is the process of trapping and storing CO2 from industrial sources and securing it underground long-term, where it is unable to leak or release into the atmosphere. Carbon capture when coupled with our Blue Hydrogen plant design allows for ultra-low carbon hydrogen production at scale and at low cost.
